USM : Day 1 - Arrival day

It was a hot sunny evening indeed..Samui Airport I would say is more like a resort cum spa-center rather than an airport..Once we stepped off from the plane,we were shuttled to the main building where the  immigration counters are. Thailand really is a place to loosen up your mind...The beautiful garden and the building architecture and its layout would make anybody feels eager to explore more of Koh Samui's beauty.

A little info about Koh Samui....or simply Samui is an island off the east coast of the Surat Thani provice of Thailand. Being the 3rd largest island after Ko Change and Phuket, it is rich with its coral reef and coconut trees...oh ya, and the white sandy beaches too.. The 228.7 kmarea is attracting about 1.5 million tourists per year..thats a lot!!!Imagine an island that is slightly smaller than Tioman island accommodating this much of people. You should come and experience it yourselves to see why such a figure was recorded ... ;)

Some photos of Samui Airport...

Yup...these spots are for all passengers to delight....

Since no photographs were allowed, those 8 pictures above are from Google.

The 'Waiting Area' . Its about 5 minutes walk from the arrival building...

Drivers waiting for their passengers....

Dahlia made herself comfortable in the van that transferred us to the resort...

Macam Port Dickson pula...

Not more than 20 minutes we then arrived at Baan Hin Sai Resort. Its on a cliff as you can see from this picture..memang kalau tersadung, boleh tergolek-golek... ;) An utmost surrounding but not too far from the town. Just perfect.

Our cute red old-school rented bike... ;) seronok naik motor *jakun*

Picture googled

Great view from the lobby overlooking the pool and the sea both at a glance....

From another angle...eh more like from our camera...hehheheh....

Although the distance from the lobby to our hut wasn't that far, but believe me, you would want to ride on this buggy. The pathway were very steep that somewhat felt  like hiking on Mt Kinabalu...(*amboi beriya exaggerate contoh) ....well...lets see for your own...nah....

Up the hill....

Down the hill...

Further down the hill...to the beach...

Naa...not really to the beach...this artificial beach was designed for event venue reason. How la to get your feet into the sandy beach here at this resort while it is located on the hill..there were only rocks

Further down the hill, another infinity pool..I love the view from this pool...serenity...

By the pool side , rows of benches ...*tuup..kena taik burung...muahahha*

Climbing up the hill at this age sangat tiring rupanya!!! Had to had several 'pit stop' ...heheh..more like photo-snapping...

Father and daughter...

How happy she was to walk around...

Terkedek-kedek...

Papa,"Dahlia, hold on to my hands please...jatuh nanti.."

We planned for this ride...to just rent a bike for the days there...Easy to move-around..seriously saying...

There are a lot of 7-Eleven and mini market of sort, but none that we can find any halaal snacks, furthermore, most of them are in Thailand writing...Takpe, gagah lagi naik motor cari kedai semenggah....
.....and walahhhh....
TESCO are all around Koh Samui tooo!!!Yipieee!!! At least we can find some international products that are written in ENGLISH...Syukur...

Unlike here in Malaysia, Tesco around this island are in green colour theme...Lotus katanya...

Same arrangement macam in Malaysia...

The parking area was not too bad too...impressive....

And after about half an hour of groceries, off we went on back to our Baan Hin Sai....
Getting ready for tomorrow's elephant safari adventure!!!!
